11.00am – Shadow Puppet Show: A Tale of Ice and Snow

Find a spot near the fire, grab yourself a hot chocolate, and witness this beautiful shadow puppet performance. A tale about our dear Queen Neva of Kryal, and how she was captured by the terrible curse of the wicked Black Knight. Located in our Abbey Tavern (Map Ref 31).

11.30am – Skill at Arms – Horsemanship Display

Cheer on our hero, Sir Hector the Knight of the Flame as he challenges the evil Black Knight to a tournament of courage and skill. Watch on as they perform daring feats with their brave and noble war horses (Map Ref. 12).

12:15pm – Pantomime: An Unlikely Fellowship

A pair of cheeky bunnies- Peep and her brother Pop have been pinching cabbages from the farmer’s garden during this long, cold winter. But when the farmer hires the help of a cat, their talents are put to the test! Join us in the warmth of the Abbey Tavern. You can even order some lunch! (Map Ref 31).

2:00pm The Joust of the Flame

Head to the Tournament Arena for the ultimate display of Knightly skills. The evil Black Knight has challenged Kryal’s hero, Sir Hector to a trial of epic proportions! Will sir Hector prevail, and break the curse that holds Kryal and its Queen in an eternal icy winter? Be sure to cheer on our Champions as they risk life and limb! (Map Ref 12).

Additional Activities

 

Knights School

Children are invited to take center stage and learn the skills of knighthood, fighting under instruction from our knights with sword and shield. This activity is free of charge! Running from 10:15am until 11:15pm, and then from 2:30pm until 3:45pm daily! (Map Ref. 17)

Archery Range *
Learn the ancient art of archery at our indoor Archery Range. In medieval times, skill with a bow was important for almost everyone, whether for the battlefield, or for hunting for food or sport. $10 for 15 Archers $5 for 5 Archers

Potion Making Wizardry School *

Create fantastical potions with our Wizard, just below their workshop (Map Ref.28) For only $5 per child! There are two classes, 12:45pm and 2:30pm each running for 30 minutes. Tickets are limited, and can be purchased from our Wizard either after a Wizard Workshop, or 15 minutes before Classes start.

Wizard’s Workshop

Find the Wizard in their workroom and see them experiment with unusual magical ingredients to produce their famous potions. 11:15am and 1:30pm Located on the second floor of the Wizard’s Tower. (Map Ref.28) Please be aware: due to the nature of the tower, space is limited and viewing can be restricted.

Torture Museum Tour (ages 13+)

Learn about the gruesome histories of crime and punishment in our torture museum at 1pm. Departs from the entrance to the torture museum. (Map Ref. 8)

Face Painting *

Ever wanted to be a princess? Or even a dragon! Our skilled painters can transform you into just about anything. Only $5. From 11:00am-3:30pm. Located in Fairies and Goblins (Map Ref.20)

Calligraphy

Learn to write with quill and ink. Why not pen a letter to a friend, family member, or even one of our heroes? Or perhaps you’d like to make a flag to wave for your favourite knight? 11:00am-3:30pm in Fairies and Goblins

Archery Siege *

For just $5, defend your Castle and shoot it out with other players in this exciting game of combat archery. Takes place on the Arena outside the stables from 12:00pm until 1:45pm. (Map Ref. 12)

All Day Dragon’s Labyrinth

Make your way from the castle entrance through the Dragon’s Labyrinth, where you’ll find the home of some Kryal’s most magical creatures! Tree Sprites, Dragons and Fairies await you! Children under 10 may prefer a stroll through the She-Dragons egg garden. (Map Ref 2).

The Maze

Built on the myths and legends of the realm, our maze is a sentimental favourite for many visitors to Kryal and the most puzzling attraction of all. Take up the challenge… will you return?
