Easter Theme – Alice in Wonderland

 

Our Easter theme will feature the fantastically funny cast of Alice in Wonderland. Come spend some time with Alice, the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit as they create chaos around the castle.

Shows

11:00 am  | Welcome to Wonderland! (Duration: 10 minutes)

Have you ever met a cat that has a grin as wide as the Cheshire Cat’s? Alice certainly has not, but there’s a first for everything in Wonderland. Cheshire puss has a thing or two to teach poor Alice in this wild introduction to Wonderland! In the Jester’s Theatre (Map Ref 17)

11.30 am  |  Mounted Skill at Arms (Duration: 20-25 minutes)

Head to the Tournament Arena to see the knights and warhorses of Kryal Castle compete in a challenge designed to test their skills with sword, lance and spear. (Map Ref. 12)

12:15 pm   |  The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party (Duration: 15 mins)

Help Alice as she fumbles over the March Hare, the Mad Hatter and their entirely unusual tea party. But, wait! Isn’t that the White Rabbit right behind her?? Come enjoy the show, or! Make your tea party experience complete with your own high tea! Come on in a little earlier to order something special to eat while you watch. (Abbey Tavern, Map Ref 31)

12:45 pm  |  A Seriously Serious Meeting (Duration: 15 mins)

The White Rabbit is in such a hurry to get to his meeting with the knights of Kryal Castle. I wonder what it’s all about? But oh dear, it’s not easy to discuss anything when the Mad Hatter gets involved! In our Round Table room, first floor of the Knight’s tower  (Map Ref: 27)

1:30 pm  |  A Queenly Croquet Match (Duration: 15 mins)

The Queen of Hearts has called for a Croquet match today, and she is “Almost certainly better than you!” Alice has heard so much about the Queen, but what will happen when the queen meets Alice? Alice, The Queen, the Hatter, the Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat in an audacious display of haphazard croquet. (Next to the Play Ground, Map Ref 25)

1:50 pm  |  The Mad Hatter’s Hat Parade (Duration 5 mins)

It’s you chance to take the stage and show off your finest creations! If you’ve spent some time in the Abbey today making a fabulous hat, you can meet the Hatter at the Arena Grandstand, where he will lead you through a hat parade! Don’t be late! Parade will depart at 1:50pm sharp! (Map Ref 12)

2:00 pm | The Queen of Hearts’ Royal Joust ( Duration 25 mins)

The Queen of Hearts is madder than anyone around! Her fiendish Red Knight has captured Alice and the Cheshire Cat , and has demanded their heads be chopped off immediately! But Wait! The honourable White Knight has challenged the Red Knight to a mighty Joust in Alice’s Honour. Will he succeed? I hope so!  (Map Ref. 12)

Giant Inflatable Slide

Wait… I’m sorry.. Did someone say “Giant Inflatable Slide”? Yes, we did!.  (Entrance next to Map Ref. 16)  Please note the Giant Slide may close early on days with high temperatures or winds so get in early.

Knight School

Children are invited to take centre stage and learn the skills of knighthood, fighting under instruction from our knights with sword and shield. Running from 10:15 am until 11:15 am, and 2:45 pm until 3:45 pm daily! (Map Ref. 12) (Subject to weather and availability)

Pony Rides

Perhaps your little warrior would like to try their hand at a Skill at Arms on our mini ponies? Tickets $10 Running from 12:30 pm-1:15 pm and 2:45 pm-3:45 pm.(Map Ref 12) (For the well-being of our ponies, this activity is subject to weather conditions)

Archery Range

Learn the ancient art of archery at our indoor Archery Range. 5 arrows for only $5, or 15 arrows for just $10! (Map Ref. 19)

Potion Making Wizardry School

Create fantastical potions with our Wizard, just below their workshop (Map Ref.28) For only $5 per child! There are two classes, 1 pm and 2:30 pm each running for 30 minutes. Tickets are limited and can be purchased from our Wizard either after a Wizard Workshop, or 15 minutes before Classes start.

Wizards Workshop

See our Wizard experiment with unusual magical ingredients to produce their famous potions. 11:15 am & 12:30 pm. Located on the second floor of the Wizard’s Tower. (Map Ref.28) Please be aware: due to the nature of the tower, space is limited and viewing can be restricted

Torture Museum (ages 13+)

Learn about the gruesome histories of crime and punishment in our torture museum. 10:45 pm, 2:45 pm (Map Ref. 8)

Face Painting

Ever wanted to be a princess? Or even a dragon! Our skilled painters can transform you into just about anything. Only $5. From 11:00 am-3:30 pm. Located in Fairies and Goblins (Map Ref.20)

Calligraphy

Learn to write with quill and ink. Why not pen a letter to a friend, family member, or even one of our heroes? 11:00 am-3:30 pm in Fairies and Goblins (Map Ref. 20)

Archery Siege

For just $5, defend your Castle and shoot it out with other players in this exciting game of combat archery. Takes place on the Arena outside the stables from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm. (Map Ref. 12)

Jabberwock’s Labyrinth

Make your way down the rabbit hole! You might find Alice, she’s in a bit of a predicament as she searches for the scurrying White Rabbit! But careful not to wake the Jabberwock!! (Map Ref. 2) Children under 7 may prefer a stroll through the She-Dragons egg garden.

Mad Hatting

Make your very own Mad Hat For the Mad Hatter Parade! Craft activity running  in the Abbey from 11 am-1:45 pm, for the 1:50 pm Parade on the arena! (Map Ref 31)

Wood Fire Pizza, Local made Pies, Gourmet BBQ Sausages and daily specials available. Enjoy a cool drink and watch the activities on the arena! Open 10 am -4 pm

Breakfast in the Mt. Inn (Map Ref. 32)

Enjoy a warm breaky or even just a cuppa in Our Mountain Inn Eatery! Open for breakfast, from 8:00 am-11 am and Lunch from 12 pm – 2 pm
